Policies &
Procedures Manuals
In this new
century, it is important that athletics programs be thorough and
consistent in their presentation of information to both internal
staff and external constituents. A policies and procedures manual
that is complete and updated on an annual basis is a task that
every athletics program should embark on and complete. Alden &
Associates, Inc. has experience in creating and updating these
important foundation-based documents for your program.
If there
currently is no policies and procedures manual or student-athlete
handbook, we are able to create a complete document for you. We
will analyze the policy-oriented documents that you have in place,
as well as discuss with you the policies and procedures that
should be included. From there we create the first draft for your
review. The same process applies to a student-athlete handbook.
If you
currently have a policies and procedures manual, student-athlete
handbook, etc. that simply needs updating, revising, or simply a
more "user-friendly" polish placed on it, we can assist you as
well.
We create the
following for you:
-
General Table of Contents
-
Detailed Table of Contents
-
Chapters by Topical Format
-
Appendix
-
Index
We can also work with your
Information Technology Office to place the document(s) on your
institutional Intranet so that they are available to your staff or
student-athletes at the touch of a key. As an example, if a coach
needs information on the Athletic Training Program, he or she can
find out quickly and efficiently.
Our goal
is to create an informative, easy-to-access manual or handbook
that represents all of the important information regarding your
athletics program. Policies and procedures manuals,
student-athlete handbooks, and other internal documents are
critically important to both produce and update. Every athletics
administrator understands that dusting off the manual or handbook
will lead toward a better understanding of the program, as well as
a safer foundation from which the intercollegiate athletics
program may operate.
